The Bianconeri bounced back from defeat at Inter with wins over Bologna and Sampdoria. The defending champions head into this weekend's round of fixtures in fourth spot, a point behind Roma and seven points behind leaders Milan.

“When the defence keeps a clean sheet, it also means the midfield and attack have started the press. We’re improving, but can do even better," said Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo following their 2-0 win away to Sampdoria.

“We are starting to find our form and making the movements more automatic, because in the first few games they were practically test runs, as we didn’t really have a pre-season training camp.

“It took a little longer than usual, but we’re finding our feet now and will keep improving.”

Roma followed a 3-0 loss to fierce rivals Lazio with back-to-back home wins over Spezia (4-3) and Verona (3-1) respectively to hold onto third spot ahead of their trip to Allianz Stadium.
