Johann Zarco will be determined to close the gap on the 2022 MotoGP World Championship riders' standings by winning the
British Grand Prix.
The Ducati rider endured a forgettable race at last year's British MotoGP as he disappointingly finished 11th having started ninth on the grid.
Zarco also failed to secure a podium spot in the most recent race in the current campaign as he finished 13th at the Dutch MotoGP on June 26.

When reflecting on the race the Frenchman said he had suffered a "very difficult" day after trailing in 13th on his Ducati-Primac.
The 2022 Dutch MotoGP was won by Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia and he was followed by his teammate Marco Bezzecchi and Aprilia rider Maverick Viñales.
Looking at the riders' standings, Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo remains at the top and he is followed by Aprilia rider Aleix Espargaro.
Zarco is placed in the third spot on the standings and he will close the gap between himself and Espargaro if he wins the British Grand Prix.

"It was really hard maintaining my pace and little by little I slipped out of the fight," Zarco said after the Dutch MotoGP.
"So I'm disappointed, obviously, but it's good to get another three points on the board and to see I'm still in third place in the standings. But it's no fun to come in an exhausted 13th
"The realistic goal is to be in the top three of the rankings and that would be a fantastic job. At the moment third place is even better than I could have expected because I don't think I had the best feelings on the bike," he continued.
"And I hope that in the second part of the season I will so that we can be stronger and more competitive in the races.
Ducati are placed at the top of the Constructors' championship standings and they are followed by Yamaha and Aprilia respectively.
