Manchester City will be looking to build on only their second win in four games when they face Manchester United in the 196th derby between the two neighbours at Old Trafford on Sunday, April 6.
Both teams have endured poor seasons, with City 21 points behind
Premier League leaders Liverpool in fourth place, while United are languishing down in 13th position.
Pep Guardiola's side climbed back into the top four courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Leicester on April 2, although Chelsea were just two points further back in sixth spot ahead of their clash with Tottenham on April 3.
City are the second-highest scorers in the league this season with 57 goals, but their problem has been in defence with their goal being breached an uncharacteristic 40 times.
The Red Devils continue to disappoint after losing 1-0 to high-flying Nottingham Forest on April 1 - their 13th defeat of the campaign.
Ruben Amorim's side had won two of their previous four games and were unbeaten during that run, although their performances weren't great, especially against Everton and Ipswich.
Amorim guided United to a 2-1 triumph in the reverse fixture on December 15 as they halted a two-match losing streak to their neighbours in the league.

Injuries have impacted both clubs and the hosts are still without Lisandro Martinez (knee), Amad Diallo, Ayden Heaven (both ankle), Luke Shaw (calf), Kobbie Mainoo and Jonny Evans (back), while the visitors are unable to call upon Rodri (knee), Nathan Ake, Erling Haaland (both ankle), John Stones (thigh) and Manuel Akanji (groin).
Amorim feels that progress is being made at Old Trafford, but insists it means little when United aren't winning games.
"It's more [of] the same since this season began. So I think if you look at the game we are improving the way we play football. We are creating more chances, we are dominating more games," the Portuguese said.
"But in the end, when you don't win, you feel that and that is a good thing. So we know that this season is going to be like that, the momentum. So we continue to go to the next [game]."

Guardiola is hoping for another match-winning performance from Jack Grealish, who starred in the victory over the Foxes.
"[Jack] scored and had another chance. He likes to play in the middle, he's a guy that likes to be free, we have some patterns and he feels comfortable on the side," the Spaniard said.
"On that side there a lot of contenders. We have the feeling between the lines always he has ability to control the ball, to have an extra pass. He was not rewarded with a penalty in the second half.
"I'm happy for him. I know it's not easy when you don't play regularly. In the last game in the FA Cup he played very good, much better than today."
