Ducati rider Jorge Martin will be eager to make it back-to-back victories in the current season by clinching the
Americas MotoGP.
Most recent race
Martin was in his element in the most recent event on the 2024 MotoGP calendar which was the Portuguese MotoGP on 24 March.
The Prima Pramac Racing member started on third grid and he went on to win the race which saw him accumulate 25 points.
MotoGP title ambitions
The 2023 MotoGP runner-up is now placed at the top of the Riders' standings having collected 60 points from two races.
Martin is 18 points clear of second-placed Brad Binder of KTM and he will be looking to widen the gap by winning the next race.
Why Martin could win the 2024 Americas MotoGP
The Spanish star has secured a podium spot in the first two races in the 2024 MotoGP season - finishing third in Qatar before securing a win in Portugal.
Martin will be confident of maintaining his consistency by winning the Americas MotoGP which would consolidate his spot at the top of the standings.
What did he say?
"It was a really mature Sunday, mature win," Martin said after winning the 2024 Portuguese MotoGP.
"I’m really happy and proud of the team and the job we’re doing. The new Ducati is better on Sundays than Saturdays. To win here, at a track where I almost lost everything.
"I almost stopped racing and now I’m here in the first place. This is amazing and I’m so grateful to this track because I learned a lot.”
