Die Roten Bullen beat the more fancied Atletico Madrid 2-1 to book their place in the final four as they now set their sights on reaching the tournament showpiece in what is only their 11th year of existence.
They will meet Tuchel's Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the final following the French champions dramatic 2-1 win over Atalanta.
Nagelsmann was once coached by Tuchel before injuries cut his career short and he became a scout for the current PSG boss.
"Games against Thomas are always very interesting," Nagelsmann said. "Because he has a very good idea of how to play football. I hope that I will also come up with a good idea against him and that my boys will perform as they did against Atletico. Then we will play a very good game.”

Leipzig would be the seventh different German side to reach the final while PSG are aiming to become the first French team since Monaco in 2003/04 to reach the final game of Europe's premier club competition.
