Round 4

Marco Bezzecchi will be hoping to maintain his spot at the top of the riders' standings by winning the
Spanish Grand Prix title.
What to know about Bezzecchi
The Italian motorcycle racer is enjoying his breakthrough season in the MotoGP having made debut in this division during the 2022 campaign.
Bezzecchi won the Italian Moto3 championship in 2015 and represented Mahindra, KTM and Kalex before joining Ducati last year.
Most recent race
Bezzecchi started on the fifth grid at the American MotoGP on April 16 and he shadowed his team-mate Luca Marini to reach fourth in the middle stages.
However, Marini went on to claim second place and a debut MotoGP podium with Bezzecchi having taken too much out of his front tyre and slipped back to sixth where he finished.
Why he could win the Spanish MotoGP
Bezzechi will be eager to bounce back to winning ways at the Spanish MotoGP in order to retain his place at the top of the riders' standings.
The Rimini-born rider impressively took his first ever MotoGP win in Argentina GP under wet conditions on April 2 and he will now be eyeing his second win of the term in Spain.
What did he say?
“I’m happy of course to lead the championship, it's a big satisfaction, but it's still nothing. It's very early," Bezzecchi said after the American MotoGP.
"So in the end, I'm happier for the weekend overall, because Friday I had a lot of problems. Saturday I managed to make a decent race, and today it was so easy to make a mistake, so I'm happy also about my pace.
"Unfortunately I think I pushed a little bit too early, I made a 2'03.5 nine or ten laps to the end, and in that lap I really finished the front tyre. So then the last 7 laps were really, really difficult for me," he added,
"I lost places from Maverick [Vinales] and Miguel [Oliveira]. This is perhaps the only regret. But apart from this I'm really happy.”
