2021/22 UEFA Champions League
Quarter-Final - Second-Leg
12 and 13 April 2022
Kick-Off 19h00
Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Villarreal CF will be confident of reaching the
UEFA Champions League semi-finals ahead of their quarter-final second-leg clashes.
Having secured a 3-1 win over Chelsea FC in the first-leg clash in England on April 6, Real are in complete control of this tie and they will be at home at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Spain on April 12 in the second-leg match.
Real have lost just one of their 15 home matches across all competitions and this includes a 3-1 win over one of the tournament favourites Paris Saint Germain (PSG) of France in the previous round of the Champions League.
The Whites, who are record 13-time Champions League winners, will progress to the semi-finals if they avoid a defeat against Chelsea.

While Villarreal will also be looking to advance to the semi-finals by avoiding a defeat at the Allianz Arena in Germany on April 12 after they claimed an impressive 1-0 win over Bayern Munich in the first-leg game in Spain on April 6.
The Yellow Submarine might be winless in their last two away matches across all competitions, but they have won all of their last three away matches in the Champions League.
Villarreal defeated one of the European giants Juventus FC of Italy in their last game on the road in this competition and they will now fancy their chances against Bayern in Munich.
"My team is very competitive," Villarreal manager Unai Emery said after he masterminded a victory over Bayern as he made it known that they are confident of reaching the semi-finals.
"We are collecting lots of superb memories and experiences across this season and last. The way the team is responding is stating that 'we are here, okay against a favourite – and we are competing to be in the semi-final.'
"They were practically perfect tonight."

Meanwhile, Atletico will be banking on home advantage at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on April 13 having suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Manchester City away in the first-leg clash in England on April 5.
The reigning Spanish champions are enjoying a four-match unbeaten run at home across all competitions having recorded three successive victories after drawing 1-1 with City's main rivals, Manchester United.
Known for their ultra-defensive tactics, Atletico will look to score and frustrate City in their own backyard, and secure a result that will be enough to send them to the semi-finals.
The Mattress Makers have already eliminated Manchester giants from the Champions League this season as they defeated United in the Round of 16.

The Portuguese football powerhouse lost 3-1 to Liverpool at home in the first-leg encounter on April 5 and they are now on the back foot coming into the second-leg match.
However, Benfica reached this stage of the tournament after they stunned Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam 1-0 away and they will need to find a way to defeat Liverpool in order to progress to the semi-finals.
The Eagles will also take heart from the fact that Liverpool lost to Italian giants Inter Milan in their last home game in the Champions League which was a Round of 16 second-leg encounter.
