Real Valladolid vs Barcelona
Real Valladolid will look to claim the major scalp of Barcelona when the teams meet at Estadio Municipal Jose Zorrilla on Tuesday 22 December 2020, kick-off is at 22:00. The match is one of 10 spread over 22-23 December as part of Matchday 15 in the
2020-21 LaLiga season.
Valladolid come into the clash on the back of a 1-1 draw away to Sevilla on December 19, with Raul Garcia scoring a late equaliser in Andalusia to spare them a second straight away defeat in LaLiga.

"We have talked about what we had to change and the changes have also brought us a lot," said Valladolid manager Sergio Gonzalez. "We have to go out with our heads high, because we have played at a very high level and did not submit to Sevilla, which is why I think the point is more than deserved."
Barcelona were unable to claim a third successive win in La Liga, having been held 2-2 at home by Valencia on December 19. Lionel Messi and Ronald Araujo netted the goals for the Blaugrana as they remained off the pace in the title race.
"What worries me is that sometimes the team doesn't know what the game is about," admitted manager Ronald Koeman. "We know we're a team that always likes to attack and score goals, but there are also times when you have to defend and control the game. That's the risk of playing one on one with a lot of space behind your back."
In head-to-head stats, Valladolid and Barcelona have met in 36 matches across all competitions since 1993. The Blaugrana have claimed 27 wins compared to just four for the Pucelanos, while five games have been drawn.
Barcelona completed a league 'double' over Valladolid last season, winning 5-1 at the Camp Nou in October 2019 and 1-0 at Estadio Municipal Jose Zorrilla in the return game in July 2020 – Arturo Vidal scored in both matches.
