2023/24 English Premier League
Matchday 22
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester United
Molineux
Wolverhampton, England
Thursday, 1 February 2024
Kick-off is at 22h15 CAT
Manchester United will target a return to winning ways in the
Premier League when they take on Wolves at Molineux on Thursday, February 1.
The Red Devils are winless in their last two games after twice squandering the lead against Tottenham to settle for a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on January 14.
Erik ten Hag's side won just two of their seven outings in December and find themselves 11 points adrift of the top four in seventh position.
That poor run allowed West Ham to go three points above United in sixth spot, while Brighton (8th) and Chelsea (9th) are breathing down their necks a further point behind.

Wanderers ended 2023 in style after a 3-0 home victory over Everton on December 30 extended their winning sequence to three matches.
Gary O'Neil's side are just one point outside the top 10 in 11th place ahead of their trip to the Amex on Monday, January 22 and they could join the Blues and the Seagulls on 31 points prior to the visit of United.
Matheus Cunha is enjoying a fine campaign in the Black Country after making his loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent in the off-season. The Brazilian capped off a flowing move to tap home Hwang Hee-Chan's square pass at the back post against the Toffees and set up Craig Dawson for the third goal on 61 minutes.

Rasmus Hojlund is full of confidence after finally breaking his Premier League duck against Aston Villa. The Danish striker opened the scoring after just three minutes against Tottenham with a blistering strike and played a one-two with Marcus Rashford for the England international to restore United's lead on 40 minutes.
Neil described the performance against Everton as his favourite since taking charge at Molineux and was pleased with the quality on display despite playing for the third time in the space of a week.
"My favourite performance so far, I think," he said. "As close to complete as we have had, especially after three games in six days."
Ten Hag is hoping for more from Rashford and Hojlund, who were both on the scoresheet in the same game for United for the first time.
"I hope they keep going, there is progress, they are coming up with some routines and that is what you need, especially in the front line where a quick decision has to be made and in a split second you need the right decision so you need intuition," the Dutchman said.
