2020-21 Serie A
Matchday 8
21-22 November 2020
Two of Italy's heavyweight contenders will battle for ascendancy when Napoli welcome Milan to the Stadio San Paulo on the evening of Sunday 22 November 2020, kick-off at 20:45. The match is one of 10 spread over 21-22 November as part of Matchday 8 in the 2020-21 Serie A season.
Napoli come into the clash placed third on the log with 14 points, having claimed a 1-0 away win over Bologna on November 8, thanks to a goal from Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Manager Gennaro Gattuso insists his side must take it one step at a time.

“I don’t like this talk of Scudetto and us having to kill teams off easily. Calm down. We are a strong team who can run into difficulty when we only play one half well,” Gattuso explained. “This is a team that needs to be kept on their toes and at times, we still have some off days. When we get hammered, we need to react straight away.”

Milan, meanwhile, maintained top spot with 17 points and remained unbeaten after a 2-2 draw at home to Hellas Verona in which they needed a late equaliser from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to complete a comeback from two goals down.
“We were coming off our first defeat in many months and tonight almost immediately went 2-0 down. We reacted, we showed that we are a strong team and that we have character,” said manager Stefano Pioli. I have some strong lads, but we are the youngest team in the league and that doesn’t stop us being mature lads too.”
