The Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans will scrap for an
NBA Regular Season victory when they meet at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California on the morning of Saturday 6 November 2021. Tip-off is at 03:00.
The Warriors enjoyed a strong opening to the campaign, though their first defeat arrived this past weekend when they were narrowly ousted 104-101 by the Memphis Grizzlies. Steph Curry still put up an impressive 36 points, though he missed two key three-pointers late on which could have changed the course of events.

“The last two shots in regulation, the last one, the game-winner, looked good,” Curry said. “Those are two shots I'd take every day of the week. Overtime, I think I pressed a little bit, maybe settled a little bit, especially when I didn't have it going from three, and not getting into the paint and getting my runners off, getting the ball moving. Little critical of myself on those last three shots."
The Pelicans have had little joy so far in the 2021-22 season, especially with Zion Williamson still sidelined, and coach Willie Green has consoled his team by insisting that going through these tough times will make them better in the long run.

“I’ve talked to them before and just said ‘Look, things are going to turn. We are going to get better,’” first-year coach Green said of his players. "We’re going to win some of these games. But I love our character... high character guys in our locker room. I love our fight. We’re just coming up a little short right now.”
In head-to-head stats, the Warriors and the Pelicans have met in 64 Regular Season games since 2002-03, with Golden State claiming 41 wins compared to 23 for New Orleans. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in May 2021, with the Warriors winning 125-122 at home thanks to 38 points from Jordan Poole.
