The Chicago Bulls will target a home victory when they welcome the New Orleans Pelicans to the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on the morning of Saturday 23 October 2021. Tip-off is at 01:00.
The Bulls wound up their Pre-Season programme with a 118-105 win over the Memphis Grizzlies this past weekend, as Zach LaVine registered 31 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The 26-year-old says that he is loving playing alongside fellow star Lonzo Ball.

“I feel good with [Ball directing the offence],” LaVine explained. “Glad to get off the ball and let other guys operate and get into those lanes, play in transition. I did it just this past year, this past summer in the Olympics, learned to play off the ball there, so it’s a blessing to have all these weapons, go-to guys that can be No. 1 options on a team. You get them the ball and get out of the way... I’ll be here when you need me.”
The Pelicans, meanwhile, ended their Pre-Season campaign with a 127-96 blowout loss to the Utah Jazz. However, playing hard to bring smiles to the faces of those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Ida earlier this year will be a big motivating factor for New Orleans.

"I saw [Brandon Ingram] look at it a couple of times," veteran Garrett Temple said. "He just looked at me and was shaking his head like, 'Damn, this is tough. This is tough.' Again, a city like New Orleans or Baton Rouge, you don't really notice. But the smaller towns really get devastated. It's harder for them to come back. It takes longer for them to come back. If your eyes were out the window a little bit, you were able to see enough."
He added: “Hopefully, we're able to get past this. This season is dedicated to the victims of Hurricane Ida."
In head-to-head stats, the Bulls and the Pelicans have met in 42 Regular Season games since 2002-03, with Chicago claiming 24 wins compared to 18 for New Orleans. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in March 2021, with the Bulls winning 128-124 away from home.
