Suzuki rider Joan Mir will be hoping to secure his first win of the 2021 season at the Emilia Romagna
MotoGP on October 24.
The Spanish star, who is the reigning MotoGP world champion, secured a podium finish in last year's Emilia Romagna MotoGP as he finished second.
Mir endured a disappointing race in the most recent event in the current campaign which was the Americas MotoGP where he finished eighth on October 3.

The 2021 Americas MotoGP was won by Honda rider Marc Marquez, who has eight Grand Prix World Championships to his name, six of which are in the premier class.
Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo finished second at the Americas MotoGP and he was followed by his MotoGP world title rival, Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati.
Quartararo is still placed at the top of the 2021 Riders' standings, while Bagnaia is placed second on the standings as they battle for the main prize.
Mir is now placed third on the standings and his hopes of retaining the MotoGP title have ended, but he will be keen to finish second this season.

“Well, first of all, I want to apologise because I don’t like to create contact in overtakes,” Mir said after he loggerhead with Ducati's Jack Miller following their run-in during the end stages of the Americas MotoGP race.
“I did a great manoeuvre in sector one on the chicanes. I was able to overtake him in a really good way, but then we arrived to the straight and he just overtook me and gave me a couple tenths.
“Then he was just closing the lines. He was just not caring about riding. He was just inside the corner, almost straight… He was closing the lines, but it was a little bit strange. Turn 16, the left, is a good corner to overtake. I took the inside and on the second part of the braking he just made a really, really tight line that I didn’t expect."
Ducati are placed at the top of Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Yamaha and Suzuki respectively.
