Xander Schauffele will be hoping to become the third golfer to win the
Genesis Scottish Open more than once after Ernie Els and Ian Woosnam.
What to know about Schauffele
The American star was a successful amateur golfer and was ranked in the top 10 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking at the time he turned professional in 2015.
Boasting 11 professional wins, Schauffele won the Tour Championship in 2017 and the gold medal at the men's individual golf event of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The San Diego-born golfer took a break from professional golf after competing in the 2024 Travelers Championship where he finished 13th.
Schauffele is currently placed third in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and his best overall ranking is second.
Why Schauffele is among the favourites
The 30-year-old won the 2022 Scottish Open by one stroke with Kurt Kitayama finishing second - his seventh win in the PGA Tour.
The year 2024 has seen Schauffele win his first major, the PGA Championship in May and he will now be keen to clinch the Scottish Cup for the second time.
