Max Verstappen will be out to make it a hat-trick of wins by clinching the Spanish Grand Prix, having won the event in the last two years.

The Red Bull Racing driver was at his best at the most recent race on the 2024 Formula One schedule which was the Canadian Grand Grand Prix on 9 June.
Verstappen started second on the grid behind George Russell of Mercedes and he went on to win the race, collecting 25 points from the event.
Formula One title ambitions
The reigning Formula One world champion extended his lead at the top of the World Drivers' Championship standings, as he is now on 194 points.
Verstappen is 56 points clear of second-placed Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, as the duo go head-to-head for this season's Formula One world title.
Why Verstappen could win the 2024 Spanish Grand Prix
The 2014 Zandvoort Masters winner is a clear favorite to win the event for the third time in a row, having emerged victoriously in six of the nine races in the current campaign.
Verstappen will be looking to win back-to-back races for the third time this season by winning the Spanish Grand Prix on the back of his success at the Canadian Grand Prix.
What did he say?
“It was a pretty crazy race, a lot of things were happening and we had to keep on top of our calls,” Verstappen said after winning the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix.
“As a team, we did really well today, we remained calm and we pitted at the right time, the safety car worked out nicely for us, but even after that we were managing the gaps quite well.
“I love it, that was a lot of fun, those kind of races you need once in a while.”
