Matchday 29

Ipswich Town v Nottingham Forest

Portman Road

Saturday, 15 March 2025

Kick-off at 16:00

Nottingham Forest will target three key points in their hunt for a top-four Premier League finish when they face Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Saturday, 15 March 2025. Kick-off is at 16:00

Current Form

Ipswich have gone nine Premier League matches without a win after they were beaten 1-0 at Crystal Palace this past weekend. Town are placed third from bottom (18th) on the standings on 17 points – six points short of the safety of 17th place.

The Tractor Boys have recorded just one win in 14 home league matches this season. Their last four games as hosts have brought defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Nottingham ended a three-game winless run in the Premier League when they defeated champions Manchester City 1-0 at home this past weekend, thanks to a late strike from winger Callum Hudson-Odoi. Forest find themselves in third place on the log on 51 points – four short of second-placed Arsenal and two-ahead of fourth-placed Chelsea.

Nottingham, however, have recorded seven wins, two draws and five defeats in away league matches this season. Their last three trips have ended in defeats at the hands of AFC Bournemouth, Fulham and Newcastle United.

Team News

Ipswich’s injury list is comprised of Arijanet Muric, Axel Tuanzebe, Conor Chaplin, Samuel Szmodics, Wes Burns and Chiedozie Ogbene.

Nottingham Forest’s only absentee will be the injured Carlos Miguel.

The teams’ most recent meeting was an FA Cup tie at the City Ground earlier this month which ended 1-1 (after goals from George Hirst and Ryan Yates) before Forest triumphed on penalties. Nottingham also won 1-0 at home in the teams’ last Premier League meeting in November 2024.
