Scottie Scheffler will be looking to make history by becoming the first golfer to win

What to know about Scheffler
The American star turned professional in December 2018 and in May 2019, he won the Marcelo Rozo in the Evans Scholars Invitational after he birdied the second extra hole for his first Web.com Tour victory.
Scheffler is currently on 18 professional tournament wins, including 13 PGA Tour events and two major championships, both the 2022 and 2024 Masters Tournament, while also finishing second in the US Open, and PGA Championship.

The 2023 and 2024 Best Golfer ESPY Award was in action in the recent Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida, USA, where he finished 11th.
Scheffler is still placed at the top of the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), having spent over 100 weeks in the position.
Why Scheffler is among the favourites
The talented golfer won The Players Championship by five strokes in 2023 and he joined Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only players to win the Masters Tournament, and The Players Championship within 12 months.
Scheffler then become the first back-to-back winner in the event's history in 2024 after he shot an 8-under 64 in the final round to overcome a five-shot deficit, matching the largest comeback by a Players Championship winner at TPC Sawgrass, and he is now eyeing a threepeat this weekend.

“I'm proud of hitting a lot of good putts, just wasn't my week on the greens... I did a lot of good stuff and, you know, my bad week on the greens felt like I did a lot of things well.
