Weston McKennie, the Juventus midfielder, says it was imperative for them to defeat Bologna as the race for the Serie A title continues.
“Both Milan teams dropped points yesterday," McKennie said.
"So it was important for us to win today and get some ground back, because it’ll be a race right up until the end.
"Getting forward has always been part of my game. I put a lot of running in and that means I can work some space for my team-mates to use.”
The last meeting between Sampdoria and Juventus in the league was on 20 September 2020.
Juventus secured a 3-0 win over Sampdoria in a match which was played at the Allianz Stadium.
