Lazio and Roma will meet in the first Derby della Capitale of the 2021/22

Both teams will be in action on Thursday with matches against Torino and Udinese respectively before turning their attention to the derby showdown.
Lazio have made an okay start to the campaign under Maurizio Sarri. A big win over Spezia followed by a defeat away to AC Milan sums up their form so far this season.
Roma won their first three matches under Jose Mourinho in Serie A before losing away to Verona.
“I am a pretty balanced person, and I know why I came here," Mourinho said.
"I think I came here because of my level of experience, maturity and balance, to prevent the people here from going euphoric because we won three matches - not 30 as I already said. Three matches won, not 30.
"And at the same time I came here to prevent the people here from falling into depression because we lost one, two or three matches. We have a lot of work to do," he added.

Last season, the two teams shared the spoils over two matches.
Le Aquile won their home fixture at the Stadio Olimpico 3-0 on the back of a Luis Alberto brace before a 2-0 win for Roma in the reverse fixture. Pedro, who now plies his trade for Lazio, scored in that match for the
Giallorossi.
