Gary Woodland will be desperate to end his trophy drought on the
PGA Tour when he tees off at the 2022 Mexico Open.
The American star tasted his last victory at the 2019 US Open and he will be hoping to end his three-year drought in Vallarta.
Woodland has competed on the PGA Tour since 2009 and has four wins including the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

The Kansas-born golfer won his first PGA Tour title at the Transitions Championship by one stroke when fellow American Webb Simpson missed a par putt on the final hole.
Two years after his first career victory, Woodland shot a final-round 69 Sunday to earn seven points and clinched the Reno-Tahoe Open with 44 points for the week.
The Florida-based star then won the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open and 2019 US Open which remains his only major triumph.
Woodland has been battling to return to his best, but there have been some encouraging signs recently as there have been four top-10 finishes along the way in PGA Tour tournaments.

The 37-year-old finished fifth at last month's 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational and he was pleased with how he played in the event.
“I felt good about 17. It was a good number. I tried to hit a cut in there and just got eaten up by the wind," Woodland said.
"A little unfortunate with the lie. The lie came out of the pitch mark, but it was still plugged a little bit. So I tried to chunk it, and I chunked it, chunked it too much.
“Frustrating. I played a lot better than the score showed. I can take a lot of positives, but it stings right now.”
Al Espinosa is the most successful golfer in the history of the Mexico Open having won the tournament a record four times.
