2023-24 NBA Regular Season
Oklahoma City Thunder v Charlotte Hornets
Paycom Center
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Saturday 3 February 2024
Tip-off at 03:00 CAT
Oklahoma City Thunder will attempt to snap a five-game losing streak at the hands of Charlotte Hornets when they clash at the Paycom Center on the morning of Saturday, February 3.
The Thunder are flying high in the Western Conference and overtook Minnesota Timberwolves into top spot after going on a run of five consecutive wins.
However, Mark Daigneault's team saw that winning sequence come to an end on January 28 with a 120-104 defeat to Detroit Pistons, who have the worst record in the
NBA this season.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the scoring for the Northwest Division franchise with a game-high 31 points, but Pistons center Jalen Duren dominated the glass with a career-best 21 rebounds, nine of which came on offence.

Daigneault admitted his players struggled to match the intensity of Detroit at both ends of the court, saying: "I thought it was an energy thing in both directions.
"They played with great energy - beat us to balls, played with intensity - and as the game wore on, we couldn't drum up that same energy. They obviously deserved to win today."
The Hornets might have Oklahoma City's number, but they've only managed to record back-to-back wins once this season.
Steve Clifford's team are languishing down in 13th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 10-34 and have little chance of qualifying for the play-in tournament.

A 134-122 loss to Utah Jazz on January 28 was their 11th defeat in 14 outings this month as they were dominated on rebounds, winning just nine off the glass offensively, with Nick Richards grabbing seven of them.
"They actually hammered us on the offensive glass," Clifford said. "They had three huge ones. If we get rebounds in the fourth quarter, we're going to have chances to get that lead to two possessions, so not very good."
