Diego Schwartzman will battle it out with world number five Stefanos Tsitsipas in the
2023 French Open third-round match on June 2.
Previous round
Schwartzman booked his place in this round after getting the better of Portugal's Nuno Borges 7-6(3) 6-4 6-3 in a second-round match on May 31.
Tsitisipas, on the other hand, found little resistance as he disposed of Spain's Roberto Carballes Baena in straight sets 6-3 7-6(4) 6-2 on May 31.
French Open record
Schwartzman's best performance in the French Open came in 2020 as the Argentine reached the semi-finals where he lost to eventual champion Rafal Nadal.
The diminutive player finds himself placed 95th on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings and his highest ranking is eighth.
Meanwhile, Tsitsipas is more established having reached the 2021 French Open final where he lost to Novak Djokovic of Serbia as he missed out on the title.

What was said
“The crowd was great and it is always great on Suzanne-Lenglen,” Tsitsipas said after defeating Carballes Baena in the French Open second round.
“I have received a lot of support and love at Roland Garros over the years and it has treated me well.
"I like the bounces and the way the ball [moves] when it is sunny like this," Tsitsipas said when asked about the lively conditions.
"There were a few instances this year where it rained a little bit and did not suit me as much, but I really enjoy sunny days like this."
Head-to-Head record
Schwartzman and Tsitsipas are set to meet for the seventh time in a professional tournament.
Tsitsipas has the upper hand in this rivalry having recorded four wins compared to Schwartzman's two victories.
The winner between Schwartzman and Tsitsipas will take on either Fabio Fognini of Italy or Switzerland's Sebastian Ofner in the French Open fourth round.
