Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas will be eager to register his maiden win of the 2021 season at the
Spanish Grand Prix on May 9.
The Finnish driver has a decent record in this race having secured a podium finish in the last three Spanish Grand Prix events.
Bottas finished second in 2018 and 2019, before he settled for the third spot last year and he will be keen to win it for the first time this weekend.

His teammate Lewis Hamilton won the Portuguese Grand Prix which was the third round of the 2021 season on May 2.
While Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing-Honda finished second in a race, while Bottas finished third in Portugal.
Hamilton is placed at the top of the Drivers' Championship standings and he is followed by Verstappen and Lando Norris of McLaren respectively.
Bottas now finds himself placed fourth on the standings as the battle for this season's Formula One world title hots up.

Bottas was left disappointed after finishing third in Portugal and he failed to understand why he didn't have pace like Verstappen and Hamilton.
“Disappointing. When you start from the pole position, you have only one target for the race and that is to win the race," Bottas said.
"It didn’t happen today, so I’m disappointed. “I don’t really know in the first stint why I didn’t have the pace; I felt like everything in terms of the re-start, everything was good from my side
"But I could see quite quickly in the race with the mediums I didn’t have pace like Lewis and Max had, and I have no idea why.”
Mercedes are placed at the top of the Constructors' Championship standings and they were followed by Red Bull Racing-Honda and McLaren-Mercedes respectively.
