2022/23 English Premier League
Matchday 8
Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
London, England
Saturday, 17 September 2022
Kick-off is at 17h30
Tottenham will be aiming to pile more misery on struggling Leicester when they square off in the
Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, September 17.
Spurs recorded a 2-1 derby success against London neighbours Fulham last time out to maintain their unbeaten start to the season and keep arch-rivals Arsenal in their sights.
Antonio Conte's side trail the table-topping Gunners by a single point in third place after winning four of their opening six matches and they'll be confident of claiming a fourth successive win over the East Midlands outfit.
Off-season signing Richarlison scored his first goals for the club in a 2-0 win against Marseille in the UEFA Champions League last week and Conte showered the Brazilian with praise for his match-winning contribution.
"I'm really happy for Richarlison, this player deserved to have this night, he's a really good guy, a fighter, I like him a lot," the Italian told SPURSPLAY.
"I remember very well when we signed him, I read his interview and he said he couldn't wait to listen to the music of the Champions League... important words.
"Today, I remembered (that) with him, and I said, 'okay now, you deserve to have this chance, go now and try to do your best'. He did his best, for sure."
The Foxes prop up the table with just one point to show for their efforts this term, having lost five of their first six outings.
The latest one was a crunching 5-2 reverse to Brighton as Brendan Rodgers' team squandered an early lead to suffer a fifth defeat on the spin.

Rodgers is under intense pressure at the King Power Stadium, but insists he retains the full backing of the club's hierarchy as they work to turn things around.
"It's been very supportive. I am not daft, I understand football, it has not been a great start at all, but the support shows the level of work we have done here and the appreciation of what we have been through over the course of the summer," the Ulsterman said.
"It is my responsibility to improve the results, there is no question about that, but I have had nothing but support to get that."
