Saturday, 2 September 2023

Team News
Thibaut Courtois, Arda Güler, Ferland Mendy, Dani Ceballos and Éder Militão have been joined by Vinicius Junior in Madrid's injury list and the club has no suspension concerns.
While Getafe also don't have any suspension worries, but Luis Milla is an injury doubt while his teammates Enes Ünal and Mauro Arambarri are still out injured.
Quotes
"Jude Bellingham is doing very well, he keeps scoring and contributing to the team. Vinicius had a niggle in the first half and we changed him," Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said after his side's win over Celta.
"We'll see what it is in the next few hours, it looks like some discomfort in the muscle in his leg. Vini Jr. wanted to continue and I don't think it was too serious. He tried and it was niggling him a little bit, so we made the decision to replace him.
"I don't think he'll play against Getafe and the break will help him to recover for when we play again. He had a good start to the game, he seemed unstoppable. It's a shame. We found it more difficult without him, but also due to the fact that they played very well at the back".
Head-to-Head
Madrid beat Getafe 1-0 in their last meeting in La Liga with the match taking place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on 13 May 2023.
Therefore, the Whites are undefeated in their last three league matches against Deep Blues Ones having registered three successive wins.
