The Utah Jazz will test their credentials against reigning
NBA champions LA Lakers in a Regular Season clash at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California on the evening of Saturday 17 April 2021. Tip-off will be at 22:30 CAT.
The Lakers’ defence of their NBA Championship has not been especially impressive thus far, though they remain on course to reach the Playoffs and will back their pedigree to come through when the season reaches the business end. LA have even learned to play without key men, as demonstrated this past weekend when they took down the highly-rated Brooklyn Nets 126-101 even without LeBron James and Anthony Davis – while guard Dennis Schroder was ejected for the first time in his career.
"Like I said all along, all season long, when we play scrappy on the defensive end, we always have a chance," Lakers coach Frank Vogel said. "I'm super proud of our group."

Utah, meanwhile, have been the best team through the Regular Season so far and nobody will be looking forward to facing them when the Playoffs get underway in just over a month’s time. The Jazz further underlined their class and winning momentum by comfortably seeing off the Sacramento Kings 128-112 this past weekend.

"The biggest thing was we just found a way to win," star man Donovan Mitchell said. "It was ugly and I didn't shoot the ball well. We made a few mistakes defensively and a bunch of mistakes offensively, as we were kind of stagnant. But the team that we want to be in July wins games like this."
