Villarreal CF will host Elche CF at their temporary home ground, Estadio Ciudad de Valencia in a
Spanish La Liga match on September 4.
The Yellow Submarine were held to a 0-0 draw by Getafe CF away in their previous league game which was played on August 28.
The draw extended Villarreal's unbeaten run to four matches in this competition having recorded three successive wins and one draw.
However, the Yellow Submarine are winless in their last two matches at home in La Liga having registered one draw and one defeat as the hosts.

"It's been a tremendous week. We've played four away games in a very short space of time. To get three wins and a draw is very important. Getting off to a good start was very important," Villarreal manager Unai Emery said.

Meanwhile, Elche suffered a 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad at home in their previous league game which was played on August 27.
As a result, the Green Stripped Ones are winless in their last three matches in this competition having recorded one draw and two defeats.
Elche are also winless in their last three matches on the road in La Liga having registered three consecutive defeats as the visitors.
The last league meeting between Villarreal and Elche was on 16 January 2022.
Elche secured a 1-0 win over Villarreal in a match that took place at Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero which is the second-largest in the Valencian community.
