Roberto Bautista Agut will be looking to upset the favourites at the
2020 Dubai Tennis Championship men's tournament between 24 and 29 February.
The Spanish player defeated second-seeded Lucas Pouille 6-3 6-4 to win his first Dubai title in 2018.
As a result, he became the fourth Spaniard to win the tournament after Alex Corretja, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Rafael Nadal.
This year he will face stiff competition from Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas and defending champion Roger Federer.
The 31-year-old has been backed by Colm McLoughlin, who is the Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Dubai Duty Free, ahead of this year's tournament.
“We very much enjoyed witnessing Roberto Bautista Agut’s run to the title two years ago," McLoughlin said.
"as he added his name to the list of other prominent champions from Spain, Alex Corretja, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Rafael Nadal.
