There are a number of big matches to look forward to with the current
Premier League season set to resume behind closed doors on June 17.
June 17 is set to feature a double-header of matches: Aston Villa vs. Sheffield United, and Manchester City v Arsenal as the season resumes after being halted by coronavirus pandemic since March 2020.
All eyes will be on the clash between the reigning champions City and an Arsenal side looking to secure a top-four finish in the league this season.
Fireworks are expected as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta faces his former boss at City, Pep Guardiola, who is one of the best coaches in the world.
"He is already implementing his ideas on the team his positional game is getting better day by day - to do that in a short time is not easy," Guardiola on his former assistant, Arteta.
"I'm pretty sure Arsenal will have success in a short time in the future with him on the bench."
The dates and times for the other fixtures are still to be confirmed, but a massive Meyserside Derby encounter between Everton and Liverpool will take center stage on Match Day 30 (over the weekend of 19–21 June).
It is a match which could see Liverpool clinch the league title for the first time in 30 years if other results go their way.
A potential top of the log clash between Manchester City and Liverpool will then follow on Match Day 32 and it remains to be seen whether the match will take place at the former's home ground, Etihad Stadium, or a neutral venue.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he is hopeful that his side will be ready when the season resumes.
"We are in a good moment, we enjoy it. Hopefully, we can make progress in the next two or three weeks,"
"There are a lot of things that need to be organized still, obviously. We need to get hopefully a couple of [bits of] information but we take it like it is and use each second we are together.”
While Match Day 35 will be headlined by the North London Derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, it could be the first league clash between the two teams at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which was opened last year.

Arsenal will then face off with fellow former English champions Liverpool away in a massive clash on Match Day 36. This encounter could be key to their hopes of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
A titanic encounter between reigning European champions Liverpool and current UEFA Europa League title holders Chelsea is scheduled to be played on Match Day 37 in Liverpool.
Lastly, the match between Chelsea and Manchester City which was scheduled to be played on Match Day 30 will be rescheduled because both teams will take part in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
