Cesar Azpilicueta, the Chelsea captain, says they believe in themselves as they prepare for the Champions League final against City having defeated Real Madrid in the semi-finals.
"We [City] have played them lots of times but it's a Champions League final: we go with everything, we believe in ourselves," Azpilicueta said.
"We know we will have to work hard but we are ready for it. It was a massive performance – we could have scored more goals. Our aim was to keep a clean sheet against this team that has a lot of options.
"In the second half, clearly we were better. We had more chances and we had to suffer, but we fought really hard."
The last competitive meeting between City and Chelsea was on 8 May 2021.
The game ended in a 2-1 win in favour of Chelsea in a Premier League match which took place at the Etihad Stadium.
