Real Sociedad will square off with Villarreal CF in a
La Liga match at the Estadio de Anoeta on December 18.
The White and Blues were hammered 4-0 by Real Betis away in their previous match in the league which was played on December 12.
The defeat extended Sociedad's winless run to four matches in this competition having registered three consecutive defeats and one draw.

The White and Blues are also winless in their last three matches in La Liga having recorded two consecutive draws and one defeat as the hosts.
Meanwhile, Villarreal claimed a 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano in their last match in the league which was played on December 12.
The victory ended Yellow Submarine's three-match winless in this competition having registered one draw and two successive defeats.
Villarreal are also winless in their last nine away matches in La Liga having recorded four defeats and five draws.

“Every game is difficult. They have dynamic and brave players, who push forward, but they also give you chances and that’s what you saw in the game," Villarreal manager Unai Emery said following their win over Rayo.
"We were efficient in both boxes. It was a difficult match after playing on Thursday and we needed people with fresh ideas to find that level of performance. We needed three points to feel a bit more comfortable on the table.
“We were aware of the difficulty. Rayo are where they are for their own merit. In LaLiga, we’ve not been as good, and Rayo are in the European spots. It was a really important match.”
The last meeting between Sociedad and Villarreal in a league match was on 30 January 2021.
Villarreal were held to a 1-1 draw by Sociedad in a match which was played at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
