Bayern Munich’s hopes of chasing down Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund will be put to the test on Matchday 24 when they face Borussia Monchengladbach away from home.

Munich, on a three-game winning streak in the German top flight, will head to the Stadion Im Borussia-Park on Saturday evening (19h30) to face the third-placed ‘Gladbach. Yet the hosts’ fine league position belies a run of poor form: they have claimed just one point from the last nine up for grabs.

Bayern are three points behind leaders Dortmund heading into the weekend, but that gap may grow to six points when BVB play away to Augsburg on Friday night at the WWK Arena (21h30) in the round opener.

Dortmund ended a run of three straight draws by defeating Baayer Leverkusen 3-2 last weekend, while Augsburg are on a three-game losing streak which has seen them concede 12 goals in 270 minutes of football.

A key game in the relegation battle sees VfB Stuttgart host Hannover 96 at the Mercedes Benz Arena on Sunday (16h30). The teams are respectively placed 16^th and 17^th in the 18-club league and have two points separating them. Stuttgart have failed to win any of their last eight league matches, while Hannover have lost six of their last seven.
