Rory McIlroy will be looking to register his first victory of the
2024 PGA Tour season when he takes part in the Cognizant Classic.
What to know about McIlroy
The Northern Irish superstar is a former world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking, and has spent over 100 weeks in that position during his career.
McIlroy is also a four-time major champion, winning the 2011 U.S. Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship and 2014 PGA Championship.

The decorated golfer took a short break from competitive golf after taking part in the Genesis Invitational earlier this month having finished 24th.
McIlroy is currently placed second on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) as he looks to reclaim the top spot.
Why McIlroy is among the favourites
The man nicknamed Wee-Mac has tasted success at the Cognizant Classic having won the tournament in 2012 before finishing second in 2014.
Wee-Mac will be the highest-ranked golfer on the OWGR in the 2024 Cognizant Classic field and he is a clear favourite to win the trophy.
