Roger Federer will be hoping to end his drought at the
French Open where he has struggled to clinch the trophy over the years.
The Swiss tennis icon has won this tournament once in his illustrious career and he is currently ranked eighth on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings.
Federer is one of the two Swiss players, who have won the French Open along with Stanislas Wawrinka and he will be looking to become the first to win two titles in France.

Federer clinched his only Roland Garros title in 2009 after defeating Sweden's Robin Soderling, 6–1, 7–6(1), 6–4 in the final.
It was Federer's second title of the year, and his 59th overall and it was also his 14th career Grand Slam title (tying the all-time record set by American legend Pete Sampras).
In winning the French Open, Federer completed the career grand slam and he has since won 20 Grand Slam men's singles titles, an all-time record shared with Spain's Rafael Nadal.
The 39-year-old suffered a surprise defeat to Spain's Pablo Andujar on the tennis superstar’s ATP Tour return last week at the Gonet Geneva Open.

Federer has made it clear that he has a point to prove at his age and he is keen to win more Grand Slam titles ahead of the Roland Garros.
"I don’t know, I’m really relaxed about where my career is, where my life is," Federer recently told GQ.
"And I know that this [moment] is one last big, huge opportunity for me to do something great. I mean, it’s always like this when you have achieved as much as I have.

"I want to win more, otherwise, I wouldn’t have gone through the whole [last] year of surgeries and the process of doing five weeks on crutches and rehab," he added.
"I truly believe I can do it again. [But] I first have to prove to myself that the body can take it. The mind is ready to go."
