2021/22 Italian Serie A
Matchday 21
Venezia v AC Milan
Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo
Venice, Italy
Sunday, 9 January 2022
Kick-off is at 13h30
AC Milan will be looking to do the double over Venezia this season when they face off in a
Serie A clash at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on January 9.
Stefano Pioli's side won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the San Siro on September 22, with Brahim Diaz and Theo Hernandez getting the goals.
The Rossoneri have the upper hand in head-to-head meetings, winning five of their seven encounters and losing just once.
The Leoni Alati's solitary victory came all the way back in March 2000 when they beat Milan 1-0 in Venice.

Pioli is hopeful that his squad can stay fit and healthy in the New Year to give them every chance of pushing for honours at the end of the campaign.
"I believe that the standard in the league is very high and that there are several teams - including us - capable of winning seven, eight or even 10 games in a row," he said.
"I hope that in 2022 my players will be healthy and that we can keep on playing our game with consistency."

The Venetians ended 2021 on a disappointing note, failing to win any of their last six matches before the turn of the year, and manager Paolo Zanetti is aware of the tough task ahead of them in the second half of the season.
"Winning games in this league is not easy. The second round will be even more difficult, because our direct competitors will also get stronger," Zanetti said.
