The Super Eagles are now unbeaten in their last four matches in this competition having recorded four consecutive victories since the 2019 AFCON finals.
“When you think about the games, for us as winners, the key is to try to improve every time.," Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong said after their win over Guinea-Bissau.
"We are not perfect and of course, we make mistakes, but I think the biggest thing is that you want to improve every time.
“I am very happy that the coach and crew gave me the confidence again to play, nd I am trying to pay them back for that. But more importantly, it is about the team, and I think the confidence of the team is growing."
Meanwhile, Tunisia sneaked into the knockout phase after finishing third in Group F behind Mali and The Gambia as one of the four best third-placed teams.
However, the Carthage Eagles suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to The Gambia in their last group match which was played in Limbe on January 20.
This was Tunisia's third defeat in their last four matches in this competition, while the other game ended in a win over Mauritania.
The last meeting between Nigeria and Tunisia was on 13 October 2020.
The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly match which was played at the Jacques Lemans Arena in Austria.
