Matt Fitzpatrick will be eager to become the first English golfer to win the
Sony Open in Hawaii since the event's inception in 1965.
What to know about Fitzpatrick
The Sheffield-born star is among of the best golfers in the world having won tournaments that are part of the PGA Tour and European Tour.
Fitzpatrick boasts of 10 professional wins including two PGA Tour events and one golf major tournament - the 2022 US Open.

The 2023 Mark H. McCormack Medal winner took part in the recent 2024 Sentry Tournament of Champions and he finished 14th.
Fitzpatrick is coming into the Sony Open in Hawaii placed eighth on the Official World Golf Rankings and his best OWGR ranking is sixth place.

The 29-year-old is the highest-ranked player on the OWGR among those who will compete in the 2024 Sony Open Hawaii.
The year 2023 saw Fitzpatrick win two professional tournaments namely, Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and RBC Heritage, and he will now be targeting his first win in 2024.

"It doesn't get better than this," Fitzpatrick said after winning the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in October.
"Winning at St Andrews, it's just a very special place. We've been coming here for a long, long time as well and it doesn't get better.
"We played last year and didn't quite play so well and this year she's played fantastic and I was playing really solid as well. You just couldn't ask for a better week."
