Simone Inzaghi, the Lazio manager, says it is important for his side to maintain its winning run.
"I recognize that we are doing something great, I am not hiding from witnessing it," Inzaghi said.
"In other leagues today we would be at the top of the standings, but here we have to fight with teams like Inter and Juventus.
"Thanks to the work done by the boys we are there in front and we will play the best of the thirteen remaining matches."
Lastly, former Serie A champions AS Roma will be away to Cagliari on Sunday, March 1.
The match will be played at the Sardegna Arena. Kick-off is at 18h00.
Cagliari are looking to return to winning ways in the league having lost 2-1 to Napoli in their last match.
On the other hand, Roma will be eyeing their second successive win in the league after thumping Lecce 4-0 in their previous game.
