Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers are set to meet in Game Three of their
NBA first-round playoff tie on August 23.
The two former NBA champions are also scheduled to meet in Game One on August 18 and Game Two on August 20.
The team that wins the seven-match tie will qualify for the conference semifinals and take on either Houston Rockets or Oklahoma City Thunders.

The Trail Blazers have won the NBA championship once and they are hoping to go all the way and clinch their second title this season.
The Lakers are the second most decorated team in the history of the NBA having won 16 titles and they are looking to join record winners Boston Celtics on 17.

Frank Vogel, the Lakers coach is proud of the perseverance of the group and is hopeful it can take them far as they prepare for the playoffs.
“No one could have foreseen the way this year was going to play out. It was full of challenges, but adversity strengthens you,” Vogel said on Lakers Nation.
“It gives you an opportunity for your group to come together, and I feel like our group is very tied together and confident in what we can accomplish. Hopefully, we can persevere through all that stuff and go on a heck of a run.”

Meanwhile, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics will square off in the Game Four of the first round playoffs on August 23.
The two teams will meet three times in Game One on August 18, Game Two on August 20 and Game Three on August 22.
The team that wins the seven-match tie will secure its place in the conference semi-finals and take on either Toronto Raptors or Brooklyn Nets.
The 76ers are three-time NBA championship winners having won the competition in 1955, 1967 and 1983 and they are now targeting their fourth title.
While Celtics remain the most successful team in the history of the NBA having won the most titles (17), but they are keen to win their maiden trophy since 2008.
