The Gunners are firing under Unai Emery following their recent 4-2 win in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday. That was Arsenal’s fourth victory in-a-row after suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of Manchester City and Chelsea respectively in the opening weeks of the current campaign. Alexandre Lacazette was rested against Vorskla although is expected to return to the line-up for the visit of the Toffees, despite Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s impressive showing with his brace taking his tally to three for the season.

Everton just cannot keep a clean sheet at the minute. In six matches in all competitions so far this season, the fans have seen their side ship ten goals already. They suffered their first defeat of the season against West Ham last time out meaning Marco Silva has managed just one victory in that time since taking over from Sam Allardyce in the summer. Record summer signing Richarlison is available for selection again after missing three matches following the Brazilian’s suspension for the red card he was shown against Bournemouth nearly a month ago.

Arsenal’s recent record against Everton is certainly something to write home about. They have lost just two of their last 22 league meetings since 2007 against the blue half of Merseyside, winning 14 of those.
The Gunners put five past Everton both home and away last season with Aaron Ramsey they chief destroyer. He scored a hat-trick when they pair last clashed in February, at the Emirates Stadium, in the corresponding fixture in 2017/18, adding to the goal he scored at Goodison Park earlier in the season.
