CJ Cup Byron Nelson trophy having impressively won the 2023 tournament.
What to know about Day
The Australian star is an accomplished golfer who has won 19 professional tournaments and a former number one on the Official World Golf Rankings.
Day won his first and only major tournament at the 2015 PGA Championship, scoring a record 20 strokes under par and rising to number three in the world rankings.

The man nicknamed Jaydee took a break from golf after competing in the 2024 RBC Heritage where he finished tied for 18th with Stephan Jaeger.
Jaydee is currently placed 22nd in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) and he achieved the number one ranking in 2015.
Why Day is among the favourites
Day is a two-time Byron Nelson winner having won the 2010 event by two strokes ahead of Blake Adams, Brian Gay and Jeff Overton.
The 2016 Mark H. McCormack Award winner then won the 2023 Byron Nelson by one shot, this was his first victory in five years and he also finished second at the 2017 event.
