The Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves will have a crunch clash in the NBA Regular Season, set for the Staples Center, Los Angeles, California on the morning of Saturday 13 November 2021. Tip-off is at 04:30.
The Lakers have struggled for consistency through the early stages of the Regular Season and a surprise defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder last week – in which they gave away a 19-point lead – was especially worrying.

"Defensively we were all over the place," said Anthony Davis, whose 29 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists weren't enough to lift L.A. to the win. "I feel like they were waiting on our coverages and were just picking us apart... For some reason this team comes in every time they make shots against us, they made 15 3s again tonight."
The Timberwolves have also struggled to get out of second gear thus far in 2021-22, and they too failed to hold onto a strong lead – 20 points – in a 104-84 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers this past weekend.

"The key was, man, we came out [in the] third quarter flat once again," Wolves’ Anthony Edwards said. "We came out flat, but we're struggling right now, man. It's tough right now because we're struggling. We're playing good sometimes. We have spurts of playing good, then we play bad and don't pick it up. It's tough."
"We move the ball in practice," Minnesota coach Chris Finch said. "We do all the right things in practice. When the lights come on and they start counting stats, things get sticky."
In head-to-head stats, the Lakers and the Timberwolves have met in 118 Regular Season games since 1989-90, with Los Angeles claiming 82 wins compared to 36 for Minnesota. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in March 2021, with the Lakers racking up a fourth consecutive victory in the rivalry by triumphing 137-121 at home, thanks to 25 points each from LeBron James and Montrezl Harrell.
