Real Madrid will take on Athletic Bilbao in a
Spanish La Liga match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on October 17.
The Whites suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to Espanyol away in their previous league encounter which was played on October 3.
They are now winless in their last two matches in this competition having recorded one draw and one defeat.

However, Madrid are undefeated in their last 13 home matches in La Liga having registered nine victories and four draws as the hosts.
“The team has injuries. That’s not an excuse. This squad is good enough to do a better job than we have done in these last three games," Madrid defender Nacho said after their defeat to Espanyol.
"When you concede goals, everything is much more difficult. There are no easy games in the Primera División. Espanyol were well organised and things didn’t come off for us today.
"It’s been a bad week, now it’s the international break and we have to reflect and work on what we’re doing wrong. We’re just starting out and we’re up near the top. It’s early in the season and we need to get guys back to give it the best we can."

Meanwhile, Bilbao ran out 1-0 winners over Alaves at home in their most recent league game which was played on October 1.
The Lions are now undefeated in their last two matches in this competition having registered one draw and one victory.
Bilbao are also undefeated in their last four matches on the road in La Liga having recorded three draws and one win.
The last league meeting between Madrid and Bilbao was on 16 May 2021.
Madrid claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Bilbao in a match that took place at the Estadio San Mames.
