2020-21 NBA Regular Season
Houston Rockets v Dallas Mavericks
20 February 2021, 03:00 CAT
Toyota Center, Houston
Texas rivals the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks will face off for the third time in this
NBA Regular Season when they meet at the Toyota Center in Houston on the morning of 20 February 2021, with tip-off at 03:00 CAT.
The Rockets have found themselves in the lower reaches of the Western Conference after a struggling campaign. They have been given thrashing by the New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans in the past week, underlying their lack of balance in both defence and attack.
“It is a deflating thing when you have shots that you feel like you should make and there’s a lot of pressure being put on you on the defensive end,” Rockets coach Stephen Silas said. “You feel like you need to make those shots and then having that, like, tension going along with needing to make those isn’t a good recipe for making shots.”

The Mavericks have also endured an unimpressive campaign to date, though the form of Luka Doncic has been a bright point for the Dallas franchise, with the 21-year-old guard putting in some stellar performances which have been in stark contrast to the overall display of his team.
With the NBA season well underway, each team will look to book their positions in the playoffs and ultimately win the coveted NBA Championship ring. Stand to win the grand prize of N500,000 by correctly predicting the seeding and winner of each NBA playoff series
“The basketball floor is his stage," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said of Doncic. "Guys like him – and I was around [Larry] Bird; I was around Reggie Miller – when there's another guy on the other team raising his game to the level that [Steph] Curry was, you feel an obligation if you're that kind of player. I saw Bird do it; I saw Miller do it. You just dig deeper. You find a way to try to match the guy and try to match the guy for your team. And that's exactly what he did."
