Aleix Espargaró will be determined to regain his form at the
San Marino Grand Prix and record his second win in the current season.
The Aprilia rider endured a disappointing race in last season's San Marino MotoGP as he finished eighth - a place behind his younger brother Pol Espargaró of Honda.
Espargaro has been struggling for form in the current campaign having finished sixth in the most recent race which was the Austrian MotoGP on August 21.

Starting from the third row with the ninth best time in qualifying, Espargaro moved up into the fifth position during the race, maintaining a good pace until he finished sixth.
Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia won the 2022 Austrian MotoGP with Fabio Quartararo of Yamaha and Jack Miller of Ducati finishing second and third respectively.
Looking at the 2022 riders' standings, Quratararo is still at the top of the standings and Bagnaia is placed third on the table as the battle for the MotoGP world title continues.
Espargaro is still placed second on the standings and he will reduce Quartararo's lead at the top if he wins the San Marino MotoGP.

"Despite the fact that the result might lead to think otherwise, I am very happy with my performance," Espargaro said after the Austrian MotoGP.
"We knew we'd have difficulties on some tracks but in a long championship like this one, we can't lose our heads. It is important to always achieve the best possible result and, to be honest, we couldn't have done any better today.
"Our package struggles on the stop-and-go sections. Fortunately, this is a track with unique characteristics, so there will be more Sundays where we'll be able to get back to our true level."
Ducati are placed at the top of the Constructors' championship standings and they are followed by Yamaha and Aprilia respectively.
