The
2023 US Open will take centre stage on 8 September as players battle for spots in the final of the grand slam tournament.
Men's Singles
Carlos Alcaraz is the defending champion and he is set to take on Alexander Zverev in a quarter-final match on 7 September.
The other quarter-final match will be between Andrey Rublev and Daniil Medvedev on 6 September.
By winning his first-round match, Novak Djokovic is guaranteed to regain the top ranking at the end of the tournament.
Djokovic is already in the semi-finals where he is scheduled to take on Ben Shelton of the USA on 8 September.
Djokovic surpasses Federer
By reaching the 47th men's singles major semi-final, Djokovic surpassed Roger Federer's all-time record.
The Serbian superstar also became the oldest US Open men's semi-finalist since Jimmy Connors in 1991.
This was the final professional appearance of former world No. 8 John Isner and he lost in the second round to Michael Mmoh.
Women's Singles
Zheng Qinwen is set to go head-to-head with Aryna Sabalenka on 6 September as they compete for a place in the final.
Madison Keys and Markéta Vondroušová will then meet on 7 September in another quarter-final encounter.
One semi-final has been confirmed so far with Coco Gauff scheduled to lock horns with Karolína Muchová on 8 September.
First-time champion
Iga Swiatek was the Women's Singles defending champion but lost to Jeļena Ostapenko in the fourth round.
The Polish star's defeat guarantees a first-time US Open champion with the final scheduled to take place on 9 September.
As a result of Swiatek's fourth-round loss, Aryna Sabalenka will claim the top ranking at the end of the tournament.
