Betis recorded their third defeat in their last four league matches when they lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao away in their previous game.
 
On the other hand, Madrid extended their unbeaten run to 18 games when they beat Getafe 2-0 at home in their last match.
 

 
Atletico's rivals, Real Madrid will face off with Deportivo Alaves on Sunday, 3 February. Kick-off is at 21h45. 
 
Real extended their winning run to three games in the league when they defeated Espanyol 4-2 away in their previous match.
 
Their visitors, Alaves saw their four-match unbeaten run in the league come to an end when they lost 4-0 to Getafe away in their previous game.
