West Ham United will lock horns with Chelsea in an
English Premier League match at the London Stadium on July 01.
The Hammers succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur away in their last league game which was played on June 23.
The defeat extended West Ham's winless run to three matches in the league having recorded three successive defeats.
Their recent defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers ended their two-match unbeaten run at home in the Premier League.
Declan Rice, the West Ham midfielder, is looking forward to their London Derby clash with Chelsea.
“I think we’ve got enough experienced players in the team who have been around the game for years,” Rice said.

“I’m only new to it so this is a whole new experience for me, but I’m learning every day.
“We’ve got a squad of players and now we need each other more than ever. We’ve got Chelsea next Wednesday and we’ll be giving the exact same effort."

Meanwhile, Chelsea secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Manchester City at home in their previous league game which was played on June 25.
The win extended the Blues' unbeaten run to five matches in the league having registered one draw and four victories.
They are also unbeaten in their last three away league matches having recorded one victory and two draws on the road.
The last meeting between West Ham and Chelsea in a league encounter was on 30 November 2019. The Hammers ran out 1-0 winners over the Blues in a match which was played at the Stamford Bridge Stadium.
